Any day I can find an excuse to post anything involving Olivia Wilde, avant-garde cyberpunk visual masterpieces, or Daft Punk is a good day. Thankfully, this new trailer for Tron Legacy has them all.
So I'm sure most people have already seen this on Alice in Wonderland over the weekend, but the new trailer for Tron Legacy has finally debuted online in glorious high definition. Catch the trailer, the breakdown/thoughts, and some pretty images after the jump.
There aren't any high-def embeds as far as I can tell, so head on over to program-glitch-esc to see the new hotness.
First off, I love the tone. It has a very Dark Knight feel to me, and it just feels right. They've managed to successfully update the Tron world without ruining any of its charm; they managed to show the world evolve, not go through a rebirth. The track Daft Punk composed exclusively for the trailer sets the perfect mood, and I can't wait to hear the rest of their score.
Basically, I'm friggin' pumped. I took some time to snap some pretty screenshots for you all. Enjoy.
